Fox Sports commentator and NFL legend Troy Aikman had some very high praise for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods during the Rams' Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night, calling him the best wide out in football.

“I love Robert Woods. I think he’s arguably the best receiver in football when you consider everything he does,” Aikman said on the Fox broadcast, via Gordon Dixon of Larry Brown Sports.

In a league that includes the likes of Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins, not to mention a host of other talented receivers, that is certainly some effusive praise and it's a statement that I'm not even sure Woods himself would agree with.

Woods is now in his sixth NFL season and just reached 1,000 yards for the first time, finishing with 1,219 yards off 86 receptions this year. He also caught six touchdowns.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at USC, was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round (41st pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He played the first four years of his career with the Bills, with his best season coming in 2014 when he hauled in 65 receptions for 699 yards and five scores.

The Rams signed Woods to a five-year, $39 million contract in March 2017.

In his first season with Los Angeles last year, Woods snared 56 balls for 781 yards while reaching the end zone five times.

Woods is certainly a fine receiver, but the best in the NFL? I've gotta say you're wrong there, Troy.
