Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has essentially done it all over the course of his career so far, but Von Miller sees that there is one feat missing in his resume.

For Miller, it has simply been a joy to play alongside Donald. He has closely watched Donald for years and has been a fan of his since his early run with the Rams.

As the veteran outside linebacker noted during a press conference ahead of the Rams’ upcoming 2022 NFC Championship Game clash against the San Francisco 49ers, it has been a smooth transition to tagging along with Donald in the front seven due to one notable reason.

“He understands everything,” Miller said. “I don't even have to talk, I can just point where I'm going. … Just little subtle things that he does that I pick up on, and he picks up on. I might not even say the correct terminology, I still speak in different terms, but he gets it. I get his terminology as well.

“It's been an honor and a privilege and a blessing to be able to play with Aaron. … He puts so much work in and he deserves it. It's 24/7 for AD. I was a fan even before I got here. He's a great player.”

As mentioned, Donald’s career resume is stacked with stout achievements after another, although he has not yet claimed a Super Bowl win. Miller aspires to change this in the coming month.

“You root for him,” Miller said. “You want it for him. … I'm here now and I want to do the same thing for him. I want to complete the checklist for him and that'd be a dream for me. That's what I want, to be the guy to say ‘I helped AD get a Super Bowl.’

“He's the complete football player. He's done everything that you could possibly do as a football player.”

Miller has so far done his part to bolster the Rams front seven in the playoffs, especially as he logged a combined two sacks in the team's victories over both the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Miller and Donald now face an arduous test up next in the NFC title game against a 49ers team that has recorded six straight wins over the Rams.
