Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has had one of the more dominant campaigns by a wideout in NFL history. In the Rams’ Super Bowl 56 clash against the Cincinnati Bengals, he notched one historic feat.

Over the second quarter of the contest, quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with Kupp for yet another key touchdown score in the ongoing playoffs. Kupp hauled in an 11-yard touchdown pass that built up a double-digit lead for the Rams.

Overall, this pivotal score for Kupp is the 21st of his season, including the playoffs. He finished regular season play with 16 touchdown receptions and has added another five such catches in the Rams’ postseason run.

More so, Kupp joined Hall of Fame wideouts Jerry Rice (1987 and 1989) and Randy Moss (2007) as the only players in NFL history to record more than 20 touchdown receptions in a single campaign, including the playoffs.

Rice shined in the 1987 and 1989 seasons, as he earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections in both campaigns. On the other hand, Randy Moss formed stout chemistry with former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady over the 2007 campaign.

Kupp has shattered numerous Rams franchise records this season and has reached a multitude of historic feats that only a handful of wideouts before him ever achieved.

The history books sure will remember Kupp’s 2021 season with the Rams.
