The Los Angeles Rams are set to host the NFC Championship this Sunday. They will be facing their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers. It was announced after the win over the Buccaneers that the team was limiting ticket purchases through Ticketmaster to residents from Los Angeles County only.

Well, the team appeared to have rescinded the controversial policy.

The Rams were initiallyhoping to limit the amount of 49ers fans in attendance. During their Week 18 loss in to San Francisco, thousands of road fans were seen in the stands. Rams head coach Sean McVay acknowledged how jarring it was, as noted by Washington Post's Cindy Boren.

“It did catch us off guard,” McVay said. “There was a lot of red there. That was definitely a surprise.”

ABC 7 previously noted that “fans who had previously been attempting to buy tickets received a notice that public sales to the game at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA will be restricted to residents of the Greater Los Angeles region… Residency will be based on credit card billing address at checkout.”

Apparently, the reason for the change in policy is because the tickets are sold out. Season ticket holders purchased all of the presale tickets over the weekend. Everything that is seen online is now subject of re-sale.
