It has been quite the offseason for the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams. While Von Miller and Robert Woods are two notable players who are now gone, Allen Robinson and Bobby Wagner signed on to help replace them. Head coach Sean McVay is back in the fold after retirement rumors, and the same is expected of Aaron Donald. Matthew Stafford signed an extension with the club.

After all this, there are still rumors of more potential big moves. The Rams reportedly contacted cornerback Stephon Gilmore, and there's also apparently “some mutual interest” with safety Tyrann Mathieu in free agency. ESPN's Dan Graziano reported this on SportsCenter this past weekend, per 247Sports.

Mathieu spent the last three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and made the Pro Bowl in 2021. While Mathieu was a key piece for the Chiefs, it looks like he'll be moving on after they signed Justin Reid.

The New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles were already reported as known suitors for Mathieu, but he has yet to strike a deal with a new team. The Rams are always going big-game hunting, so it's no surprise to hear they're lurking as a possible destination. Los Angeles currently has about $7 million in cap space left right now, though it's unclear what a new deal for Donald would mean for that. There's also the Odell Beckham Jr. situation to work out.

It seems Mathieu is still surveying his options for 2022, but keep an eye on the Rams as a possibility here.
