The Los Angeles Rams are heading to Super Bowl LIII, thanks to a little help from the officials. Despite Sunday afternoon's win surely coming with an asterisk for the rest of eternity, Rams cornerback Marcus Peters seemed at least a little excited about Los Angeles earning a trip to the NFL's championship game.

Immediately after the final whistle blew, Peters could be seen sprinting over to confront Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Because the Saints and Rams had already met once this season — a win for the Saints in New Orleans — the two teams had absolutely no trouble hyping up this year's NFC Championship Game. With Peters becoming a known trash-talker over the years as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, the veteran defensive back has yet to slow down while on the West Coast.

“Tell Sean Payton to keep talking that (expletive), we’re gonna [see] him soon,” Peters previously told reporters after the Rams' initial loss to the now eliminated Saints. “You feel me? I like what he was saying on the sidelines, too. Tell him to keep talking that (expletive). I hope we see them soon. You feel me? And we’re gonna have a nice little bowl of gumbo together.”

This one is definitely going to be a tough pill to swallow for Payton, who was technically bested by Peters and the Rams. However, the ongoing banter about this game will ultimately make this NFC Championship one of the most memorable in recent memory.
