Philip Rivers is done in Los Angeles. The Chargers decided that it is time to move on from their long-time franchise quarterback. That means that both sides will have to find new options in the NFL.

Rivers has had an incredibly successful career. He is a borderline Hall of Fame player, but he could never win the big game. Rivers threw for 4,615 yards last season with 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. At 38-years old, Rivers has something left in the tank. There will be teams that are interested in the veteran quarterback. Here are three landing spots that would make sense for Rivers.

3. Carolina Panthers

Veteran head coaches are often brought in to lead a rookie quarterback. Why not mix it up and bring in a veteran quarterback to work with a rookie head coach? The Panthers are going through a significant change by hiring Matt Rhule and moving on from Cam Newton.

Rivers could work well under Rhule's system. The Panthers have some young talent on the offensive side of the ball led by Christian McCaffrey. This could be an interesting match for both sides.

2. Tennessee Titans

The Titans were one game away from the Super Bowl this season. The Marcus Mariota came to an abrupt end when he was benched in Week 6. Ryan Tannehill was brought in to replace him, but is he really the answer? The Titans need to make re-signing Derrick Henry a top priority, but they could be in need of a new quarterback as well.

Tennessee could choose to go with a veteran signal-caller with Rivers and Tom Brady hitting the free-agent market. Brady is most likely staying in New England, so Rivers could make sense in Tennessee. If Tennessee brings Henry back, they will have an elite run game to pair with a stellar defense. This is an attractive landing spot for Rivers.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rivers played in San Diego and Los Angeles for the better part of his career. Why not go somewhere else with warm weather? Bruce Arians is a coach who likes to throw the ball, and Rivers is a gunslinger. Tampa Bay has emerged as one of the favorites to sign Rivers, and he has moved his family to Florida.

The Bucs have some great talent at their skill positions. It starts with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the outside and continues with O.J. Howard at tight end. The Bucs will undoubtedly be looking to upgrade their running backs for 2020. There are a ton of weapons for Rivers in Tampa Bay if he chooses to go that route.
