Last week, it was revealed that one of Kawhi Leonard's biggest trash talk catch phrases while at San Diego State was “board man gets paid,” a reference to guys getting a lot of rebounds getting big money in the NBA.

Not that hard to decode.

Now, after Leonard led the Toronto Raptors to their first ever NBA championship on Friday night, a Toronto billboard is putting a slightly different spin on Leonard's proverb:

Leonard too home Finals MVP honors for the second time of his career after averaging 28.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, two steals and 1.2 blocks over 40.5 minutes per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the floor, 35.7 percent from three-point range and 90.6 percent from the free-throw line in the series.

In the series-clinching Game 6 on Friday evening, the 27-year-old posted 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and a couple of steals.

For Leonard, it's the second time he has tasted a championship, as he won his first title as a member of the San Antonio Spurs back in 2014.

Leonard spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Spurs and seemed ready to take over for Tim Duncan as the next San Antonio lifer until a disconnect between Leonard and the Spurs organization occurred last year due to Leonard's mysterious quad injury.

Unhappy with the way San Antonio handled the situation, Leonard asked for a trade and was ultimately dealt to the Raptors last summer.

Now, Leonard enters the summer of 2019 as a free agent, and even if Los Angeles is calling, it might be tough for Leonard to walk away from Toronto after delivering a title.
