Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam was one of the more notable snubs from this year's all-star game. However, shooting guard Danny Green still thinks he is deserving of some recognition at the end of the 2018-19 NBA season.

Siakam's emergence has been of the biggest surprises of the 2018-19 NBA season. According to Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype, Green feels Siakam should win the NBA's Most Improved Player Award:

“There aren’t many guys in that [Most Improved Player] conversation. I guess Derrick Rose, but Derrick Rose was an MVP and it’s hard to put a former MVP in that category. I think Pascal pretty much has that award on lock with the performances he’s had. And we should probably be talking about how he should’ve been an All-Star, especially after these recent performances.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Green's comments. Despite his tremendous upside, Siakam struggled to perform at a high level consistently over his first two seasons in the NBA.

Fortunately, he has been able to find his footing in Toronto's new approach this year.

It is safe to say that the 24-year-old is playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder down the stretch of the season. Siakam's snub from the All-Star game has done wonders for his candidacy as the league's most improved player.

He is currently averaging 22.1 points on 52 percent shooting over his last 10 games, and is also showing off his versatile skill set with 6.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals per game during that span.
