Danny Green is now a two-time NBA champion after helping the Toronto Raptors topple the mighty Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Green also won a title with the San Antonio Spurs back in 2014. And when asked to compare the two championships, the former North Carolina standout revealed that the title he won on Thursday with the Raptors feels more satisfying, per Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.

Green said that the he appreciates the Raptors championship more because when he was in San Antonio, he was much younger then and that winning “was the norm” in the Spurs franchise. But in his title run this season, he is now more matured, and he understood very well how hard it is to win a championship in the NBA.

The 31-year-old guard, who was sent to the Raptors from San Antonio as part of the deal for Kawhi Leonard, was a vital cog for his team in the entire season. In the 2019 NBA Finals, he averaged 7.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 27.3 minutes. He was also a key figure on defense, as he was tasked to guard either Steph Curry or Klay Thompson.

Green will become a free agent this summer. It remains to be seen whether or not he would return to Toronto next season, as he is expected to get offers from teams who will look to contend for a title next season.
