For San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan, former Toronto Raptors teammate Kyle Lowry is the greatest Raptor of all time. But in his observation, Pascal Siakam has all the tools to surpass the guard.

Siakam and DeRozan linked up in an Instagram Live conversation Sunday night. They talked about a host of things, mostly basketball. While a lot has happened since DeRozan was traded away by the Raptors, he is nonetheless proud of what his former teammates have accomplished. Especially for Siakam, who already has a championship in the bag. For DeRozan, the next step for the Cameroonian is to be the greatest Raptor of all time.

“You got the full blueprint, bro, to even pass [Kyle Lowry as the greatest player in Raptors history],” DeRozan told Pascal Siakam, as transcribed by Thomas Ketko of Sportsnet. “You got the blueprint, you done seen it all.”

To recall, back when DeRozan was the main star for the Raptors, Siakam was heading in and out of the G League. For DeRozan, this gave Siakam the opportunity to see everything from a wide lens and to receive guidance from the veterans. DeRozan tagged Siakam's experience as the ‘ultimate cheat code.'

“[Jared Sullinger] was hurt and you started and we hooped,” DeRozan recalled. “I’ll be telling everybody, …[because] people forget, ‘Pascal played with us, then [he] would go play in the G League, hoop, then come back and play with us …so you was always consistently hooping.

“Then, to see how much we was hooping [at the NBA level], how serious we took it …that’s the ultimate cheat code you had. You had the ultimate cheat code, to see everything. It’s crazy, bro.”

Amid all the praises that DeRozan threw at Siakam, the Cameroonian was humble all throughout. For Siakam, he wouldn't have achieved everything if not for DeRozan and the rest, whom he claimed paved the way for the team's success.
