Gordon Hayward's gruesome foot injury has caught the attention of many since he suffered it early in the season opener between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James even approached him before he was stretchered out of the floor to offer some words of encouragement, and players around the league have tweeted their support for him as they do not want to see anybody get hurt.

For Skip Bayless though, he instead focused on how easier it will be for James and the Cavs to win the Eastern Conference this year, after seeing the potentially season-ending injury on Gordon Hayward. Toronto Raptors gstaruard DeMar DeRozan did not appreciate Bayless' comments, and responded to him, making it known that there’s more to basketball after seeing a competitor go down with a freak injury.

Despite playing for different teams, the Raptors star was one of the first players who took to his Twitter account to ask his fans to offer prayers for Hayward’s quick recovery. Times like this brings out the camaraderie from NBA athletes, as their brotherhood transcends beyond the game itself.

Skip Bayless has not responded to DeMar DeRozan yet, or any of the comments he got following the controversial tweet. However, with how active and outspoken he is, it won’t be surprising if he’ll speak his mind about it soon, and address the reactions he received.
