The Los Angeles Lakers have been star-starved since LeBron James agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal to join the team, as the potential of signing Paul George went by the wayside after he agreed long-term with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and trade talks for San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard stalled.

Even after those two mishaps, the Lakers also turned down a potential acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins, concerned with competing now and considering him too much of an injury risk.

Given their fortune, it was only expected that fans would clamor for another star to join James in his quest for bringing Showtime back to La La Land.

So who better than Compton native DeMar DeRozan, who was spotted back in his old stomping grounds, asked to come to the Lakers by a fan.

Fan: “DeRozan come to the Lakers, come to the Lakers.”

DeRozan: “Hell no.”

Even during his stint as a free agent, DeRozan never really considered the purple-and-gold, quickly agreeing to a five-year, $139 million deal with the Raptors minutes into the start of free agency, back in 2016.

Seems like that mentality hasn't changed.
