Ever since DeMar DeRozan left the Toronto Raptors in July, none of the team's players have occupied his old locker at Scotiabank Arena.

But according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN, “The Boy,” who is better known as Drake, took charge of DeRozan's former spot:

DeRozan was shipped to the San Antonio Spurs along with center Jakob Poeltl and a protected first-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.  The Raptors got Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green in return.

Toronto is currently the best team in the Eastern Conference because of the adjustments. Leonard is doing well with his new team and currently putting up 25.6 points per game through 19 games.

DeRozan's contributions to the team, however, are hard to forget. With his leadership, Toronto made it to the playoffs five straight times.

DeRozan's best performance with the team came in the 2016-2017 NBA season. He played 74 games and averaged a career high of 27.3 points per game.

There are no other Raptors players deserving of the spot in the locker room that he left. They gave it instead to Drake, their Global Ambassador.

Drake is a Toronto native and a huge Raptors fan, hence his role with the organization. He was recently seen watching the game between his hometown team and the Golden State Warriors. The Raptors emerged victorious in that contest, 131-128.
