The Toronto Raptors have been on the edge of greatness for the last several years, and head coach Dwane Casey has been right in the middle of it.

Casey may not be one of the big names in NBA coaching, and may have never won a title as a coach, but he has continued to be impressive as the leader of the Raptors. That became even more clear after the Raptors won their game on Sunday.

With the victory, Casey reached 300 career wins as head coach of the Raptors, and the team's official Twitter account congratulated him after reaching the feat.

Casey started his stint with the Raptors in the middle of the 2011-12 season. That year, the Raptors won 23 games after Casey started coaching them.

The team increased their win total each year with Casey at the helm, and he led the Raptors to the playoffs four consecutive seasons, including an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals two years ago.

Over the years, there have been times that Casey's job may be in jeopardy, with speculation that he should be fired in favor of a coach that could led the Raptors to further in the playoffs. The thinking has been that the Raptors have too much talent and Casey may not be maximizing it.

But 300 wins as a coach for one franchise is nothing to sneeze at. And this season, the Raptors have a great chance of getting at least to the Eastern Conference finals.

That has just as much to do with Casey as it does with the roster he has.
