The Toronto Raptors managed to get back into the win column with a solid 123-111 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. However, that was not the only good news the Raptors received on Sunday.

According to NBA Reddit user Watchadoinfoo, Dwayne Casey has been named as a head coach for Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James' team in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game:

Casey's selection is not surprising considering Toronto currently owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 33-15. Although the Raptors have been formidable for some time now, they have certainly taken a step up this year by establishing themselves as one of the elite teams in the East this year.

However, what makes his selection so compelling is that Casey and his coaching staff will be squaring off against their own star players in point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how much he is willing to reveal about his current players or the sake of this year's All-Star Game.

Dwayne Casey will inherit a James squad that is heavily-favored to win the inaugural showdown, despite the season-ending injury to New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins. That said, the first order of business for  Casey and “The King” will be discussing which of the reserves will take Cousins' spot in the starting lineup. Although they are projected to win, Casey knows better than to sleep on the merits of Team Steph, let alone his own players in DeRozan and Lowry.
