Goran Dragic of the Toronto Raptors has been granted time away from the team to manage a personal matter.

It is unclear at the time what Dragic is going through, but the Raptors are giving him their full support. In a team-issued statement by the Raptors, they said that he has been a great mentor to the younger players and a valuable teammate to the veterans.

He was in a sign-and-trade deal that sent Goran Dragic to the Raptors and sent Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat. Dragic came out and said that he did not want to play for the Raptors when he was traded but it seemed as if they were able to discuss some things and make it work to have him play in the future. He has not played yet this season and now with him walking away for some time, it is unclear when or if he is ever going to play for the Raptors.

When he is on the court, he has been a serviceable player and had some success for the Heat. In his career, he's averaged 13.9 points per game and has been a big part of Miami's recent success.

Toronto is having a decent season as they are 9-11 but have some rebuilding to do. They have gotten a lot of success from their rookie Scottie Barnes. They will look to make some moves to bring some other guys to the team in the future.
