This is really sad to hear and see. Monday was supposed to be a day of celebration for Toronto and Raptors fans. The Raptors just won their first title in franchise history by defeating the Golden State Warriors.
Speeches at the rally had just been starting up when the shots were fired. There was a brief delay at the rally as Raptors television broadcaster Matt Devlin explained that a “serious incident” had occurred. Devlin helped keep the crowd calm as the situation played out:

When the Raptors clinched their trip to the NBA Finals after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals, there were reportedly no arrests made. It's unfortunate the same can't be said for the championship parade on Monday.
Police were able to settle this situation down as efficiently as possible so the fans could get back to enjoying the rally and all the speeches. The safety of the city and people was the most important thing at the moment, but the Raptors were able to finish up the rally and celebrate with their fans without any further issues.
