The Toronto Raptors will see a slew of moves this offseason after former head coach Dwane Casey was sacked after getting swept out of the playoffs, allowing for the Nick Nurse regime to begin.

Nurse's post is expected to be just the first of transactions the team makes in the summer, as this core has proven to fall plenty short in the postseason, set to evaluate each and every piece before engaging in trade talks.

Jonas Valanciunas could be potentially on the move, now heading into his seventh season with the Raptors and failing to break out as the star the franchise thought he would become when drafted with the fifth overall selection in 2011.

“Even if somebody say you’re safe, untradeable, you never know. Maybe they’ll need some player or to be under the tax,” said Valanciunas, according to Ryan Wolstat of The Toronto Sun. “Now I feel safe, but I can’t be guaranteed for nothing. I have good relationship with coach Nurse, but it’s business.”

The Raptors have exciting prospects on Lucas Nogueira, Pascal Siakam, and OG Anunoby, making Valanciunas and his contract rather expendable.

While his relationship with Nurse, a former assistant under Casey, is a good one — it surely doesn't give him any guarantee on a potential stay as Nurse likely doesn't have much say in personnel decisions with this being his first stint as a head coach in the NBA.
