Toronto Raptors two-time Finals MVP winner Kawhi Leonard chose a pretty apt statement shirt to wear for the recent Raptors championship parade.

Leonard was seen rocking a plain back tee with a simple message written across the chest: “Board Man Gets Paid.”

The 27-year-old had already previously explained the meaning of this mantra, stating that this pertains to reaping the benefits of one's hard work. Kawhi is indeed one of the most resolute and hard-working players in the league today, and he definitely deserves everything that he has achieved in his career to date.

The shirt is part of Leonard's official merchandise with shoe sponsor, New Balance. Similar to Kawhi, New Balance are now also making the most out of their investment, and with Kawhi debuting this tee during the parade, shirt sales should definitely skyrocket in the coming days.

Interestingly, this message also doubles as a foreshadowing for what should be an extremely profitable offseason for Leonard. The three-time All-Star will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and is widely regarded as the hottest prospect in the market.

Aside from Toronto, who are more than willing to offer Kawhi with a max deal, a number of other teams will also be lining up to throw hundreds of millions of dollars in the direction of the two-time Defensive Player of the Year winner.

Right now, though, we don't see anyone else in this particular free agent class that is more deserving of this than Kawhi himself.
