Toronto Raptors superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard will make his free-agency decision when it’s time.

Leonard becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Raptors. The now two-time Finals MVP has been heavily linked to the Los Angeles Clippers, although some believe Leonard could re-sign with the Raptors on a short term deal as well.

Leonard just delivered the first championship in franchise history to the Raptors. If he decides to leave Toronto after just one season, the fans and members of the organization likely won't be upset since Leonard just completed one of the best single-seasons in NBA history.

After only playing in nine games in 2017-18 with the San Antonio Spurs, everyone in the basketball world was curious to see what version of Leonard we were going to witness this season. The three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year showed right away at the start of the regular season he's still one of the best players in the NBA. After winning his second title and Finals MVP, a case can be made that Leonard is the best player in the world.

The Raptors can offer Leonard the most money in free agency plus a fifth year on his contract. All eyes are going to be on Kawhi once free agency starts.
