In spite of the fact that he played just one season for the Toronto Raptors, there's no denying that Kawhi Leonard has earned legendary status within the city. The fact that he led the Raptors to its very first NBA championship probably has a lot to do with it.

Now with the Los Angeles Clippers, it's actually quite surprising to learn that Leonard still daydreams about his time with the Raptors — at least according to Grammy Award-winning rapper/Toronto's golden boy Drake:

“I'll tell you honestly one thing about Kawhi that I could tell the people, whenever I see him, he expresses the utmost gratitude and just always says how much he misses the fans and the city,” Drake said on Monday night's Raptors preseason broadcast, via Aaron Rose of Fan Nation. “So you know that's my guy honestly he is really grateful for his time here.”

Kawhi Leonard isn't exactly the type of person who wears his heart on his sleeve so for him to have this much affection for the Raptors organization is definitely noteworthy — especially for the folks over in Toronto.

Drake is pretty tight with Kawhi (or at least we're assuming that he is), so he could be considered as an authority on this matter. The Certified Lover Boy clearly has nothing but love for his guy Kawhi.
