Kyle Lowry's place in Toronto Raptors history has never been in question. The bulldog point guard is widely-recognized as the greatest player in franchise history, and for good reason. Many fans in Canada have a soft spot for Lowry, even when he departed the team to join the Miami Heat.

It's no surprise, then, that the tributes for Kyle Lowry in Toronto just don't seem to end. The latest honor for the guard comes in North York. A new community hub in the area will have one of its streets named “Kyle Lowry Road”, in honor of the legendary point guard. (via CP24.com)

In addition to Kyle Lowry Street, another street in the hub will be named in honor of the Raptors' 2019 championship team. “Champions Road” will “serve as a reminder of the rewards of hard work, commitment, and passion.”. It's a classy move for the city to pay tribute to one of the biggest sports achievements in their history.

The Raptors acquired Lowry in a trade with the Grizzlies in 2013. At the time, the consensus around Lowry was that he was a fringe starter, and nothing more. The Villanova product proved everyone wrong, leading Toronto to multiple playoff appearances and regular season success. Lowry himself earned multiple All-Star nods and even a couple of All-NBA selections.

It all came to a head in 2019, when the Raptors acquired disgruntled star Kawhi Leonard from the Spurs. Behind their new superstar, Lowry thrived, helping lead the franchise to their first championship in history. His history with the team and the championship win cements his status as the greatest Raptor of all time.
