The Toronto Raptors will be facing the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals later tonight, but there's a bit of concern regarding the thumb injury of All-Star guard Kyle Lowry.

Lowry dislocated his right thumb in the Raptors' Game 7 win against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Although he's still having a little bit of trouble with it, the veteran guard insisted that he will be good to go against the Bucks in Game 1 later tonight.

Lowry has been inconsistent throughout these playoffs, and an injury in his shooting hand could make things worse for him. In 12 games this postseason, Lowry has only managed to score more than 15 points three times. He has clearly been overtaken by Pascal Siakam as the second best player on the team, and although he's still able to contribute, Lowry just looks like a shell of his old self recently.

The Raptors will need Lowry to be productive if they want to have a bigger chance of beating the Bucks, owner of the league's best regular season record. Although the highlight of the conference finals will be the showdown between Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, their supporting cast will also play a key role in determining who will advance to the NBA Finals.

Over the past three seasons, Lowry has been criticized for his underwhelming performances in the playoffs, and it seems that he won't be able to redeem himself this season unless he plays a major role in helping the Raptors take out the Bucks.
