For the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, they overcame a pretty slow start to blow out the Charlotte Hornets on the road, 129-111, for their 10th win in 11 games.

According to a blog post by Doug Smith of the Toronto Star, their hot shooting might not have been if Raptors star point guard Kyle Lowry didn't notice that a loose nail made one of the baskets askew.

“It was off, off a lot,” Lowry said.

Lowry finished with only 11 points and eight assists on the night, but his teammates really stepped up as Toronto was led by star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan's team-high 28 points.

“Maybe if Kyle Lowry hadn’t been so eagled-eyed and insistent a bunch of the shots the Raptors made at the basket in front of their bench might not have gone in,” Smith said.

“You’ve got guys who come in and produce and do what they’re doing and it gives everybody time to relax and rest,” Lowry said. “You can rest in games, that’s big. We’re just doing a good job of everyone having the confidence to go out there and do their jobs, work hard and we’re winning games. It makes everyone’s job easier when everyone can play.”

Power forward Serge Ibaka had 24 points on 11-of-16 shooting, while rookie small forward OG Anunoby had a career-high 20 points on 6-of-7 shots from behind the arc.
