The Toronto Raptors will be without the services of Kyle Lowry for Wednesday night's road game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a report from Mike Ganter of the Sun.

Ganter reports that Lowry made the trip to OKC with his teammates, but it sounds like he still needs a bit more time to recover from the ankle injury he sustained in Monday night's victory over the New York Knicks.

Lowry left in the third quarter of Monday night's game after injuring his ankle. In 26 minutes of action, the former Villanova Wildcat scored 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Prior to Monday's outing, Lowry had missed two consecutive games due to a sore ankle.

New York rookie center Mitchell Robinson collided with Lowry while chasing a loose ball at 5:15 of the third, falling onto Lowry's legs and taking the All-Star point guard down from behind. Lowry slapped the floor in pain and frustration before being helped to his feet and limping to the locker room.

“I watched the clip,” Lowry said. “I think it was a little bit dirty. He grabbed me and pulled me down. I don't think he did it on purpose. I know he didn't think he was going to hurt me.”

Lowry has made 57 appearances with the Raptors this season (all starts), averaging 14.8 points on 41.7 percent shooting from the field (35.3 percent from beyond the arc), 9.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 34.6 minutes per outing.

With Lowry ruled out for Wednesday's match-up, Freddy VanVleet will likely see an uptick in his usage rate. In 23 games as a starter, VanVleet has turned in averages of 13.4 points on 43 percent shooting, 5.7 assists and 0.9 steals.

Wednesday's Raptors-Thunder game is scheduled to tip inside Chesapeake Energy Arena at 9:30 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
