Kyle Lowry expressed his utter disappointment after the Toronto Raptors' narrow 132-129 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road on Wednesday night.

“It was a trash game by us,” said Lowry, according to TSN's Josh Lewenberg. ” They shot 60 percent from the field. It was a disgraceful display of defense by us and we've got to be better than that.”

The Cavs benefitted from a historic performance by LeBron James, who became the first player in NBA history to score 30 points or more while dishing out 17 assists and committing no turnovers, per Tim Cato of SB Nation.

Besides James, Cleveland had not been this offensively efficient since December, which rattled the cage of Lowry's backcourt partner DeMar DeRozan.

“How many points did we score tonight?,” asked DeRozan rethortically. “129.” “Yes. And we missed a lot of shots we normally make. A lot of us. So to answer your question, (it's the defense) without a doubt.”

“They're still a helluva team. You can't take nothing away from them. They're still a top team in our conference and in this league. You can't overlook 'em or under-look 'em in no time of way, no matter what type of changes they made.”

The Raptors had won their last game against the Cavs by a whopping 34 points on home turf, which could explain the extra fire in that teams to allow them to come back from the offensive barrage Toronto put on them in the first half.

Both teams will meet again at Quicken Loans Arena to decide who takes the season series on Apr. 3.
