Kyle Lowry is a revered figure by  Toronto Raptors fans and he's achieved another feat with the franchise on Wednesday that only adds to his legacy. Despite losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Lowry had an emotional response to him reaching the 10,000-point milestone with the Raptors, via Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.

Heading into Wednesday's contest with the Bucks, Lowry needed only two points to reach 10,000 points scored with the Raptors. Lowry would proceed to score 21 points in Toronto's loss, giving him 10,019 points in his nine seasons with the organization.

The 34-year-old point guard began his pro career as a first-round pick of the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006 NBA Draft. After two and a half seasons with the Grizzlies, Lowry was traded to the Houston Rockets, where he would spend three and a half seasons.

But following the 2011-12 season, Lowry would join forces with DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay after being traded to the Raptors. After not earning an All-Star bid in his first six seasons in the NBA, Lowry has made the All-Star team in his last six seasons with Toronto.

Above all, while Kawhi Leonard was a big reason why the Raptors won the NBA title in the 2018-19 season, Lowry played a massive role in bringing the championship to Toronto. It was the Raptors' first NBA title, causing many to consider Lowry a legend of the franchise.

Even though Toronto has gotten off to a rugged start to the 2020-2021 season, Kyle Lowry continues to be a leader on the team. And with him earning yet another milestone with the Raptors, it wouldn't come as a surprise if the franchise retires his jersey someday.
