Kyle Lowry has left a lasting impression during his career with the Toronto Raptors and he's attempting to do the same off of the court. While speaking about his interest in investing, Lowry shared why he's motivated to break barriers for others around him.

“Getting the African-American, the Black person into those types of positions, it changes the outlook of the culture, right?” Raptors talent Kyle Lowry said, via Avery Hartmans of Business Insider. “It changes the thought processes of who these people are.”

The veteran point guard has begun getting involved in investing more often in the latter part of his career. Lowry gave credit to guys like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, and LeBron James as players who used their platform to begin breaking barriers for people of color.

The idea of investing has become more prevalent among athletes as they become more aware of how it can help them long-term. When speaking about the topic, Lowry uttered that he's motivated to create his own lane where he can succeed with the people closest to him.

“We don't want to just be sitting at the table with everybody else — we want to create our own table and bring people that we want to be in there, to have people of our color at the table with us,” he said.

Everyone loves taking part in anything that can earn them some valuable income. Besides being able to secure more money for his family, Kyle Lowry is interested in paving the way for future people of color when it comes to investing.
