Toronto Raptors big man Marc Gasol missed a number of games at the beginning of the 2019-20 season due to a hamstring injury. Fortunately, the Spaniard has fully healed from it and is ready to help the Raps defend their title in the Orlando bubble.

There was ample concern for Gasol after playing a total of 103 games in the 2018-19 NBA season. Moreover, apart from playing all the way to the NBA Finals, Gasol led Spain to the gold in the World Cup.

However, amid these concerns, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse clarified that Gasol is good to go.

“As far as I’m aware, he’s fully healed,” the Raptors tactician said, per Michael Grange of Sportsnet. “And as you know he looks great. His skills look fantastic as well. He looks like he’s in good shape. I don’t see any issues.”

Apart from his healed hamstring, Gasol looks like he's in the best shape of his career. The latest photo of Gasol in the Orlando bubble has generated some hype. Fans are excited how “skinny Gasol” will perform in the season restart and in the playoffs.

For what it's worth, according to Raptors guard Terrence Davis, the Spaniard has been in playoff mode since the summer.

“I love it, he’s in playoff mode right now,” said Davis. “He’ll probably tell you that himself, he’s been in playoff mode since [last] April and he’s gonna continue being in that mode. He looks really, really good, he’s moving really well. He looks like Prime Marc to me, so, I don’t know, man. It’s scary.”

People might have forgotten that the Raptors are still the defending champions. Marc Gasol's rejuvenated health is a good reminder for contending teams that they need to get past them first before feeling good about themselves.
