Longtime teammates Mike Conley and Marc Gasol shared the court together on Sunday — this time as opponents for the first time. Gasol and Conley played together for the Memphis Grizzlies for a decade between 2008 and 2018 and were able to turn the team into a playoff team from 2010 to 2016. Now on the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz respectively, the two matched up against each other for the first time.

Gasol's Raptors came out victorious 130-110 with the big man contributing 11 points, six assists and five rebounds while Conley recorded 20 points, two assists and three rebounds for Utah.

“It's just great. Seeing him happy and healthy is all I can ask for. We had a great time last night, great dinner catching up, and I can't wait to see his family when we go to Utah,” Gasol said, via Josh Lewenberg of TSN.

The two split up when Gasol was traded from Memphis at the trade deadline last year for Jonas Valanciunas, CJ Miles, Delon Wright and a 2024 second round pick.

Four months later, the Grizzlies shipped Conley off to Utah in a trade for Jae Crowder, Grayson Allen and Kyle Korver and a 2020 protected first-round pick.

At 34 years old, Gasol is no longer able to play at the All-Star level he did when he was in Memphis. However, the Spanish big man is still contributing 5.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the defending-champion Raptors.

Likewise, Conley's production has taken a dip from his Memphis days as he is 32 years old and still adjusting to a new team. In 30.5 minutes per game this season, Conley is putting up 13.9 points and 4.6 assists while shooting a career-low 36.1 percent from the field.
