Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri is keeping a positive outlook despite losing Kawhi Leonard in free agency this summer.

The Raptors took a huge hit after Leonard decided to leave the Raptors in favor of the Los Angeles Clippers. While the decision of the two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player will likely hurt their chances of defending the title, Ujiri said that he is not disappointed and not losing sleep over it.

“There's no time to go out and cry,” Ujiri said via Josh Lewenberg of The Sports Network. “Honestly, I've lost no sleep. I'm not disappointed. It's on to what's next. I'm telling Raptors fans, don't lose one day of sleep, one second of sleep. We're going to be just fine. We're going to all right.”

Leonard eventually became a one-year rental for the Raptors, who had to give up fan favorite DeMar DeRozan in the blockbuster trade last year. Leonard's one-season stint in Toronto will go down into history books though, as he led the Raps to their first-ever championship when they defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals.

The 28-year-old superstar signed a four-year, $141 million maximum deal with the Clippers, spurning offers from the Raptors and the Los Angeles Lakers. The former San Diego State standout also played a major role in the trade that sent Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Paul George to the Clips on Saturday.
