The Toronto Raptors will try to even the Eastern Conference Finals series against the Milwaukee Bucks at one game apiece, as head coach Nick Nurse intends to make the necessary adjustments to claim the victory in Game 2.

The Raptors dominated the first three quarters of Game 1, but struggled mightily in the fourth period as the Bucks walked away with a 108-100 come-from-behind victory.

Nurse told beat reporter Josh Lewenberg ahead of Game 2 that although he is planning to make some changes in Game 2, he's not going to overreact to the sentiments of other people regarding the Raptors' lapses in the series opener.

“I think you always need to adjust – win, lose or draw – but I certainly don't think you overreact to any narratives that are out there.”

The Raptors' coach was criticized for failing to give his best players enough rest in Game 1. Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam played for 42 minutes while Kyle Lowry logged 40. It seemed to be working for the majority of the game, but all of them struggled when the Raptors needed them the most.

Nurse admitted he played his starters too much, and that it will need to change in Game 2 not because it's the suggestion of people from the outside looking in, but because it's necessary for the team.

“In the Game 1 loss to Orlando I didn't play everybody enough. In the Game 1 loss to Milwaukee I played everybody too much. So basically when you lose nobody's ever happy and neither are we. The narratives are narratives and to me they're just a pile of words”
