Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse isn't going to give Pascal Siakam special treatment just because he's the best player on the team.

Nurse says Siakam hasn't been smart this season in terms of committing fouls and needs to be better moving forward:

Siakam has fouled out in two games already this season. The Raptors were able to win on opening night against the New Orleans Pelicans, but fell to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.

The Raptors are 4-2 on the young season. Siakam is averaging 26.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 42.4 percent from beyond the arc and 96.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Along with fouling out in two games, Siakam has picked up five fouls in two contests as well. The Raptors' do-it-all swingman has to be more disciplined on defense, because when Siakam isn't on the floor, the Raptors' offensive rating drops from 112.7 to 98.4, per Basketball Reference.

Toronto faces the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Nurse is challenging Siakam to stay out of foul trouble and remain on the floor with his teammates.

We'll see if the reigning Most Improved Player of the Year is able to accomplish that goal and help Toronto get back in the win column versus the Kings.
