The battle between the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night went down the wire. Unfortunately for the Raptors, they ended up on the losing end yet again. Raptors star Pascal Siakam once again had a chance to win it for his squad, but the 26-year-old missed a potential game-winning shot for the second straight night after doing the same against the Golden State Warriors.

The All-Star forward didn't really have much to say about the missed shot:

The Raptors led throughout this game and held a 14-point advantage early in the fourth quarter, only to cough it up. A tough CJ McCollum bucket gave the Blazers a 112-111 lead with just under 10 seconds to play, setting up Siakam to be the hero again. Siakam then continued to rue the Raptors' missed opportunities:

“We fought hard to get wins & it came down to a couple possessions,” he added. “If we made a couple of those shots we'd have a different record right now. But if you look at the record, it's tough. We need those wins bad & we can't have (those games) back. It was a tough road trip.”

Siakam hit the nail on the head here. Toronto just went 1-3 on a four-game road trip to drop to 2-8 on the season. The Raptors get two nights off before returning to action on Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets, and Nick Nurse's squad desperately needs to get back in the win column.
