Earlier in the season, Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka had Kawhi Leonard on as a guest on his “How Hungry are You?” series and posed Leonard the question about whether or not he was going to re-sign, to which Leonard stared blankly.

It was obviously a joke, and now, with Leonard's free-agency decision hanging in the balance, Ibaka has taken to Twitter with a plea to Leonard.

He originally deleted it but reposted it later:

Keep those fingers crossed, Serge.

Leonard seems to be deciding between the Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, and while the general feeling has long been that he will join one of the two Los Angeles teams, there seems to be some momentum building toward Leonard re-signing in Toronto for one more reason before re-evaluating the free-agent market next summer.

The 28-year-old spent the first seven years of his career with the San Antonio Spurs, winning a championship in 2014 and taking home Finals MVP honors in the process. However, due to a disconnect between Leonard and the Spurs organization concerning his quad injury last year, Leonard demanded a trade and was eventually dealt to the Raptors last summer.

Leonard then went on to lead Toronto to its first-ever NBA title, earning another Finals MVP award.

The minute Leonard was traded to the Raptors last summer, the prevailing thought was that Leonard was merely going to stay in Toronto for one year before bolting to Los Angeles this offseason, but now, who knows.

Leonard is expected to make his decision relatively soon.
