According to a Sunday afternoon report from Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Toronto Raptors have agreed to a multi-year NBA contract with forward Boucher. Prior to coming to terms with the Raptors over the weekend, Boucher served as a two-way player for the surging franchise. However, his new deal is a standard NBA deal, allowing him to become a one-way NBA player en route to removing his “two-way” label.

The Raptors have remained quite busy as of late while most notably acquiring veteran center Marc Gasol via trade from the Memphis Grizzlies. Making just a little less noise over the weekend, the Raptors have now signed an up-and-comer for the foreseeable future, which remains bright for the Eastern Conference franchise.

The 26-year-old power forward has suited up for two different NBA teams since breaking into the league two seasons ago. The former Oregon Ducks standout made one appearance as a member of the heralded Golden State Warriors as a rookie last season while securing one rebound during his one minute of action. This time around, Boucher has already appeared in 16 games as a member of the Raptors in 2018-19 while currently averaging 3.9 points across 5.6 minutes per outing. The 6'10” power forward is also averaging 1.8 rebounds, one block and 0.2 steals per game for the Raptors this season.

Entering play on Sunday, the Raptors were sporting a stellar 41-16 record, good for second place in the Eastern Conference standings. Toronto sits only behind the upstart Milwaukee Bucks, who own an impressive 41-14 record.
