The Toronto Raptors initially started their 2020-21 season on the wrong foot as they failed to gain momentum on the floor. Even without the presence of their veteran leader in Kyle Lowry, the Raptors managed to turn things around as they snagged a 16-0 record in their last 16 games without the six-time All-Star who remains to be ruled out due to an ankle injury, via StatMuse.

More than anything, the statistic suggests that the Raptors are playing with a better dynamic without Lowry at the helm. With their good showing as of late, it will not be surprising anymore if the team's front office is already setting the gears in motion to part ways with the veteran point guard.

If they choose to do so, the Raptors can even get a bevy of assets in return as Lowry remains to be an intriguing commodity in the open market. He will certainly attract a number of teams who are looking to add more depth in their backcourt rotation.

In light of his absence, point guard Fred VanVleet has been handling the playmaking duties and has played well in recent games. Paskal Siakam, Chris Boucher, Norman Powell, and OG Anunoby are also contributing a ton of things whenever they are on the floor.

To further prove their newfound resurgence, the Raptors surprisingly toppled the East's top team in the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night via a 110-103 victory to further stretch their win streak to four games. With a 16-15 record, it will definitely be interesting to see whether or not the Raptors can sustain their momentum once Kyle Lowry rejoins the team in the near future.
