The Toronto Raptors celebrated their 2019 NBA championship victory with a massive parade in downtown Toronto on Monday.

During the festivities, Toronto Mayor John Tory went on the stage in Nathan Phillips Square and immortalized the beloved Toronto basketball team forever, announcing that a portion of Bremner Boulevard, just outside Jurassic Park, is now called “Raptors Way.”

The newly minted Raptors Way joins Blue Jays Way, which was renamed in 1993 to commemorate Toronto's World Series victory, as portions of the city renamed after a Toronto sports team.

Mayor Tory, likewise, gave each player on the 2019 title team the keys to the city. Superstar forward Kawhi Leonard accepted the official key as the Raptors faithful chanted “MVP!”

Nearly two million people flooded the streets of Toronto to celebrate the Raptors' first-ever NBA title. It was a wild scene as the 2019 champs made their way around the city.

Unfortunately, a shooting incident interrupted the festivities. Luckily, there were no fatalities as a result of the incident.

Nonetheless, the majority of Raps fans enjoyed the first-ever NBA championship parade in Canada. The players had a blast as well, parading the “Larry OB,” as Kawhi would call it, all over the city.

Raptors fans showered Leonard with all the love they could give to persuade him to stay. The Finals MVP, in response, gave the people a memorable moment by mocking his infamous laugh at the end of his championship speech.
