Kawhi Leonard spent quite a bit of time on the sidelines last season due to a quad injury. Now, though, after a lengthy rehabilitation process and a trade to the Toronto Raptors, the superstar is back on the floor.

As a precautionary measure, the Raptors elected to hold Leonard out of Saturday's 117-113 victory over the Washington Wizards, as it was the second night of a back-to-back set. Going forward, though, it sounds like the Los Angeles native will be playing in those scenarios.

According to a report from Eric Koreen of The Athletic, the Raptors do not plan on resting Leonard in all back-to-back situations.

Though it's a small sample, Leonard seems to be meshing well with his new team. In the two games he has played this season, the former first-round pick has racked up averages of 27.5 points on 40.4 percent shooting from the field (37.5 percent from beyond the arc), 11.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 36.5 minutes per outing.

Leonard posted 24 points and 12 rebounds in his Raptors debut — a 116-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers last week.

“I felt good,” Leonard told ESPN. “I'm happy we came out and got a win. I came out of the game healthy, so it's a win-win for me.”

Leonard and the Raptors will be back in action on Monday night, when they'll welcome the Charlotte Hornets to Scotiabank Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
