The Toronto Zoo made an epic way to celebrate the Toronto Raptors' first-ever NBA championship.

The zoo released 48 Blanding's turtles into the wild on Monday. However, before they do so, they named 37 turtles after Raptors players, coaches, executives and even superfans.

For example, this is Kawhi Leonard.

Somewhere out there, the Finals MVP is doing his signature laugh. (You can check the rest of the thread. You won't regret it.)

The Raptors made history this season by winning the franchise's first NBA title. What made it more impressive is the fact that they won it against the Golden State Warriors, a team that was aspiring to win their third straight championship.

The Warriors were heavily favored to win the series, but the Raptors showed their determination to dethrone the champions. They won Game 1 convincingly, before losing Game 2 by five points. With the series heading to Oracle Arena for Games 3 and 4, people started to believe that it was the beginning of the end for Toronto.

Instead, the Raptors won the two games in Oracle, shocking the basketball world as they built a commanding 3-1 series lead. They lost Game 5 at home before closing out the series in Game 6.

Three wins at the opponents' home floor…in the Finals. That's pretty impressive for a team that was largely considered the underdogs.

Just like the Raptors, hopefully, all these turtles will be able to survive all the challenges that nature will throw at them.
