Over the past two days, Toronto Raptors swingman Danny Green has been dropping hints on his social media accounts. His posts, which are clearly Puma-related, seem to indicate that he has a new shoe deal on the way.

Green's first Puma-related Instagram post was sent on Monday. The clip features a wildlife scene in which a pair of male pumas cross paths.

“Another young male has the same idea of taking control as the new dominant male,” the narrator says in Green's Instagram clip.

Green's second hint, which came on Tuesday, was straight to the point. The former UNC Tar Heel simply posted the definition of the word puma.

News of Green signing a shoe deal with Puma has not hit the wire yet, but it seems to be only a matter of time before it's made official.

The Raptors acquired Green, now 31 years of age, as part of a trade with the San Antonio Spurs back in July — the same deal that brought Kawhi Leonard to Toronto.

“Change can be good,” Green told the San Antonio Express-News shortly after he was traded to the Raptors. “I’m not mad at all. I understand the business side of it. I understand what (the Spurs) had to do.”

Green, a former McDonald's All-American and NBA champion, made 70 appearances with the Spurs last season (60 starts), racking up averages of 8.6 points on 38.7 percent shooting from the field (36.3 percent from beyond the arc), 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 blocks, and just under one steal (0.9) in 25.6 minutes per outing.
