Rapper and Toronto Raptors ambassador Drake is reportedly mounting his own recruiting campaign to keep Kawhi Leonard in Toronto, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

The Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are all in play for Leonard:

The Raptors can offer Leonard the most money in free agency and a fifth year on his deal. ESPN reported last week Leonard was planning to give Toronto the last meeting in free agency.

This past season, the Raptors managed Leonard's health during the regular season well and proved to the superstar they can build a championship roster around him. Toronto defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals in six games. Leonard won his second Finals MVP and has established himself as arguably the best player in the game.

Despite delivering a championship to Toronto and being loved by an entire country, we keep hearing rumblings that Leonard wants to go back home to California. When the three-time All-Star requested a trade from the San Antonio Spurs in the summer of 2018, Leonard reportedly told San Antonio he wanted to be traded to either the Lakers or Clippers.

The entire NBA world is waiting for Leonard's decision. Raptors fans want Kawhi to come back, but if he leaves, they will always appreciate what The Klaw did for them.
