The Toronto Raptors’ front office might not be done shipping key assets to other teams. According to a report by Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee, the Raptors are getting positive signals from the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and the Los Angeles Clippers with regards to the trade availability of forward Pascal Siakam.

A source with knowledge of the situation in Toronto said the Raptors are receiving numerous calls about Siakam and team president Masai Ujiri is “listening like a good negotiator.” The Kings, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are said to be particularly “enamored” with Siakam. A trade is possible, but not likely, the source said, adding Siakam has no desire to be moved despite the possibility of a rebuilding situation in Toronto.

It was just two years ago when the Raptors delivered the Larry O’Brien Trophy to Toronto, but two key figures of that championship squad are now gone. Kawhi Leonard went to the Clippers right after that title run. Just recently, Kyle Lowry took off to join the Miami Heat via a sign-and-trade deal.

Pascal Siakam has been finding his name thrown around in trade rumor discussions over the past few months and his future north of the border comes into greater question following the Raptors’ decision to take Scottie Barnes in the 2021 NBA Draft.

A versatile 6-9 natural power forward who can also play center, Siakam would be a fantastic addition to the team that would land him.

The Raptors star’s current contract will expire at the end of the 2023-24 NBA season.
