The Toronto Raptors have shifted gears for the offseason after another embarrassing dismissal from the playoffs. As a result, it seems they have finally decided to shake things up.

Rumors have surfaced that no one in Toronto is untouchable this offseason. According to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake City Tribune, point guard Kyle Lowry will reportedly be at the forefront of any potential deals:

The report should come as no surprise. After years of disappointment and early exits from the postseason, Toronto was adamant that this would be the year they got the job done. For the most, it appeared to be true after they easily clinched the No. 1 seed in the East. However, their impressive season ended in similar fashion at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers and small forward LeBron James.

Although Lowry is still one of the best point guards in the Eastern Conference, it is clear that the backcourt pairing of him and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan is not working out. However, Toronto will still need to keep a star player in town to help with their pitch this summer.

If the rumors are true and the Raptors are looking to blow things up, it makes sense that Lowry would be the one to go over DeRozan. Unlike his younger counterpart, the veteran is entering the final stretch of his prime years. Regardless, Lowry should still garner plenty of interest considering he has been an All-Star for the last four years. If the Raptors could get a healthy return for him, it would be a solid first step toward revamping their roster.
