Recent changes like the firing of head coach David Fizdale could force the Memphis Grizzlies to make consequent ones in the following weeks. Among them, center Marc Gasol, who recently expressed his displeasure with warming the bench as his team fell to the Brooklyn Nets 98-88 on Sunday night.

Gasol's name could come off the “untouchable” list, especially if the Grizzlies lose more with a brutal schedule coming up in the next two weeks, facing the likes of the San Antonio Spurs twice, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the streaking New York Knicks on the road and a multitude of contenders that can put them out early.

The Grizzlies could pursue a trade starring Toronto Raptors big man Jonas Valanciunas, who the latter has tried to move in the last two offseasons, according to Forbes Insider Mitch Lawrence.

The Raps have been trying to get a solidified piece in the frontcourt and Valanciunas' inconsistencies have driven the front office nuts during the last few seasons, making them likely to roll the dice on a win-now proposition with Gasol at the middle.

Memphis has been trying to get younger the last two seasons and with Mike Conley out for the foreseeable future, it can find itself going from wounded bear to one in its last breath.

In a dying big man market, the Raptors will have to bid high in order to entice the Grizzlies to make the swap and net Gasol's services, but there's ultimately nothing like losing to put the pressure on a team to make some changes.
