The Toronto Raptors are now trying to get in on the DeAndre Jordan sweepstakes.

According to Marc Stein of The New York Times, Toronto has tried to work its way into the trade mix for the L.A. Clippers center. Stein adds that the Raptors would likely need a third team to help facilitate this.

Jordan has long bene rumored to be a trade candidate this season as the year has not gone as planned for the Clippers in their first season since losing Chris Paul.

Last week the team traded Blake Griffin leading most to believe that the full rebuild was on. The Clippers did however extend Lou Williams on a three-year contract despite his name being brought up in trade rumors.

Jordan has been the No. 1 target of the Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly as the Cavs are potentially looking to make a major move at the deadline.

This is the first we've heard that the Raptors could be in play for Jordan. Surely, getting Jordan would involve sending Jonas Valanciunas somewhere, potentially the third team needed if the Clippers aren't interested in him. The Clippers have reportedly been interested only in young assets or draft picks as they are looking longer down the road now.

Jordan would be an intriguing fit in Toronto, likely boosting the team's defense and possibly making it a more potent contender in a conference that may be up for grabs finally thanks to the Cavs' struggles.
