According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement for a one-year contract with unrestricted free agent Jared Sullinger.

Toronto will give Sullinger $6 million, per ESPN's Marc Stein.

Sullinger took to his Twitter account to confirm the deal by changing his profile picture and posting the Raptors' team motto, and potentially his new jersey number:

This signing comes just one day after the Celtics renounced Sullinger's qualifying offer, which moved him into being an unrestricted free agent.

Sullinger averaged 10.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 0.8 blocks for the Celtics last season in 73 starts. With his new team, he will probably fight for the starting spot with Patrick Patterson, who averaged 6.9 points and 4.9 rebounds last season. Sullinger hustles and and rebounds well, but he cannot replace the shot blocking presence of Bismack Biyombo, who left Toronto for Orlando.

The Raptors will officially announce the signing of both DeMar DeRozan and Jared Sullinger in the near future.

Sullinger also left a goodbye message to Boston on his Twitter page:
