Danny Green helped the Toronto Raptors win their first championship in franchise history. Now, shortly after making his decision to join the Los Angeles Lakers, the crafty swingman is thanking the city of Toronto, as well as his podcast followers:

“I just want to give a huge shoutout to all the fans who loyally follow and listen to the podcast religiously,” Green said in a video. “So, thank you, guys. Thank you to the Raptors organization, top to bottom — teammates, parents and kids that came to my camp, everybody behind the scenes who played a major role in bringing us together and keeping us together.

“I know you guys will still have some special things going on here, but I just wanted to send a big thank you to you guys.”

Green, who recently agreed to join the Lakers on a two-year contract, then noted some of the things he likes about Canada:

“My favorite thing about Toronto, the country of Canada: pretty much everything. It's a long list of things,” Green said. “Obviously, the food, the people, the fans, the night life and the city. The only thing I didn't like was the weather. Outside of that, it was amazing. You guys treated me with so much respect. Hopefully, I'll be seeing you soon.”

Though his time in Toronto has come to an end, it's clear that Green enjoyed his time spent there.
