DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry comprise one of the best backcourt tandems in the NBA. They show great chemistry on the battlegrounds, and even after the final whistle. A recent clip simply shows the deep friendship that the Toronto Raptors' backcourt mates hold.

A clip posted by Yahoo Sports NBA shows DeRozan trolling Lowry while the latter is being interviewed after the game.

As observed, DeRozan suddenly covers Lowry's face with a towel as he was speaking. His words were muffled at this point but continued to talk. Obviously, DeRozan was just having some fun.

The interview came in after the Raptors handed the Boston Celtics a good beating, 96-78. With the win, the Raptors hold on to the number one spot in the Eastern Conference. DeRozan finished with 16 points while Lowry contributed 13. The win snapped their two-game losing streak.

The Celtics, meanwhile, relied on Marcus Morris who chipped in 21 points. They continue to roll despite Kyrie Irving's absence due to an injured knee.

Before the game, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey shared his thoughts on the Raptors' struggles during the latter part of the season. He's predicted it before and perhaps knows the exact antidote to cure it. As reported by Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Star, Casey said:

“There’s three times a year guys go through a malaise, a mental malaise … my many years in the NBA, I’ve seen it: Right before Christmas, right before all-star break and right before the playoffs,” Casey said.

“Last year, we were kind of stuck in a spot, we weren’t going up, we weren’t going down, we were kind of playing out the string.

“It’s kind of that way now mentally and it’s mental. All our guys, I believe in those guys and our team, we’ve done a lot of good things but one thing that cures that is playing hard.”
